In my tenure as a Vice President and Director, Corporate Quality & Knowledge Sharing at Xerox Corporation, I experienced firsthand the legacy of a company which successfully applied improvement techniques to radically deliver improved business results. My seventeen years of change experience at Xerox is complemented by fifteen years of business experience in finance, administration and marketing. Countless books and articles have been written on the continuous improvement journey of Xerox Corporation. Since I have personally lived this journey, I have spoken of my experiences at significant venues, including Regional Baldrige Conferences of The Conference Board (New York), and World Quality Congresses in India, Brazil, Argentina, Tokyo and Singapore. As a seven-year member of the Baldrige Board of Examiners, I served for three years as a U.S. Dept. of Commerce instructor, and provided training to national evaluators in New Zealand, Hong Kong and the states of New York and Washington. Consultation was also provided to business excellence award planners in the Philippines, Singapore, Russia, Thailand and others. In 2001, I was elected as an officer and Treasurer of the Foundation for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, Inc.
